What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Navos AI, Inc.) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). Why do we use cookies?

We use first- and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Website to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Online Properties. Third parties serve cookies through our Website for advertising, analytics, and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.

How can I control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences in the Cookie Consent Manager. The Cookie Consent Manager allows you to select which categories of cookies you accept or reject. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services.

If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our Website though your access to some functionality and areas of our Website may be restricted. Cookies we set on the marketing website

The Navos marketing website is a static site with no strictly necessary cookies set by us. Your session does not require cookies to function. The only cookies set on your device come from Google Analytics 4, and only after you explicitly accept via the consent banner on your first visit.

We use Google Consent Mode v2 in advanced mode to gate Google Analytics. Before any Google script executes, all consent signals (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to denied by default via a synchronous inline script in the HTML head. The Google Analytics loader then runs but respects the denied state. No cookies are set and no identifiers are created until you accept.

Strictly necessary cookies

We do not set any strictly necessary cookies. Your consent choice is remembered between visits using your browser's localStorage (not a cookie), under the key cc_cookie. Storing the consent preference itself is exempt from the consent requirement under ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) ("strictly necessary for providing a service explicitly requested by the user").

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 — requires consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 sets the following first-party cookies on your device. Cookie names and lifetimes reflect Google Analytics 4 defaults as of 2026; the exact set may vary depending on Google's configuration.

Data transfer. Google Analytics data is sent to Google servers in the United States. The transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795). Google LLC is self-certified to the DPF; verify active certification at dataprivacyframework.gov.

Data retention. The cookies listed above have lifetimes of 1 minute to 2 years as noted. Separate from cookie lifetime, Google Analytics retains event data on its servers for 2 months by default (configurable up to 14 months). Beyond that, only aggregate statistical data remains.

Cookieless signals. Even when you decline consent, the Google Analytics script (which is loaded on every page but blocked from setting cookies) may send anonymous, aggregated signals to Google for statistical modeling of overall traffic. These signals do not identify you and are not joined to any profile. If you want to prevent them entirely, decline consent and additionally block the google-analytics.com domain at the browser or network level.

Withdrawing or changing consent

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie preferences" link in the website footer. This reopens the consent banner, allowing you to toggle analytics cookies on or off. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: any existing Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_<container-id>, _gid, _gat_gtag_<container-id>) are automatically cleared from your device, and no further data is sent to Google.

What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website.
